Age is not just a number …….

The question of what is the right age difference between a man and a woman seeking to get married keeps coming up around me.

The universal wisdom has been that ‘age is just a number’ and what matters is whether you love each other but today I beg to differ with that the assertion.

First let me dispute the notion that getting the person of the ‘right age’ adds anything to the love you share, it doesn’t. What matters is your respect for each other and the sacrifices you are willing to make for each other.

Having said that however it is important to ensure that the age difference does not on the other hand become a thorn in your relationship. I would hate a situation where my spouse thinks I did something because am younger than her or I can’t understand her since am way out of her league in age.
